Apple TV+ Has Revealed the 2023 MLB Friday Night Schedule, But a Membership Is Now Necessary

Apple announced today that "Friday Night Baseball," its weekly MLB doubleheader, will return in April.

The games could be viewed for free during the previous season. Still, viewers need an Apple TV+ subscription, which costs $6.99 monthly or $69 for the entire year in the United States.

Every Friday during the 2023 Major League Baseball regular season, "Friday Night Baseball" will broadcast two live games from the MLB. The games will be streamable in 60 countries and regions, up from 13 during the previous season.

There will be no limits placed on the games' local broadcasts. On Friday, April 7, the action will begin with the Chicago Cubs playing against the Texas Rangers at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The Atlanta Braves will play against the San Diego Padres at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

According to Apple, DirecTV will make games from "Friday Night Baseball" available to more than 300,000 restaurants, bars, hotel lounges, retail stores, and other venues in the United States throughout the regular season on satellite TV equipment that is already in place.

Through the first half of the season, which ended on June 30, Apple and the MLB collaborated to create the schedule for "Friday Night Baseball."
