Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King Release Date, Voice Cast, Plot, And Everything We Know So Far

Ayataka Tanemura will helm the upcoming Japanese animated feature film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, produced by Pierrot and directed in Japan. Based on Yki Tabata's Black Clover manga series, the film will be released in Japanese theaters on June 16, 2023.

It will be available on Netflix abroad at that time. The movie's events occur after the conclusion of the last episode of the series.

The release of Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King was originally scheduled for March 16, 2023; however, it was pushed back because of issues caused by COVID-19 during the creation process.

Ayataka Tanemura directed the film. Black Clover (2017), Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King (2023), and Devilman: Crybaby (2018) are some of the movies that Ayataka Tanemura is famous for.


Both Asta, a kid born without any magic in a world where magic is everything, and Yuno, a genius mage chosen by the renowned 4-leaf Grimoire, have fought many terrible opponents together to demonstrate their ability beyond adversity and strive for the title of top mage "Wizard King."


There are other Wizard Kings from the past standing in front of Asta and Yuno, both of whom aspire to become the Wizard King one day.
