Galaxy A02s Joins Galaxy A01 in Getting the Android 12 Update in the US

The Galaxy A01 got its final major Android OS update in the US yesterday. Today, the Galaxy A02s is joining the Galaxy A01 in getting the Android 12 update. Yes, the update is a year late, but it's finally here, and it is the last major OS update for the device.

With firmware version A025U1UEU1CVK6, the carrier-unlocked Galaxy A02s is receiving the Android 12 upgrade in the US.

One UI 4.1 Core and the November 2022 security patch are included in the upgrade. The smartphone's carrier-locked model received the Android 12 update last month.

You can now download and install the Android 12 update if you possess a Galaxy A02s and reside in the US. You can do that by selecting Download and installing from the Settings > Software update menu.

In the latter half of 2020, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A02s, which ran Android 10. It was inevitable that an entry-level smartphone would only receive two Android OS updates, compared to four for high-end and premium devices.
