Geekbench 6 Benchmarking Suite is Now Available From Primate Labs

Geekbench 6, the most recent version of the company's cross-platform benchmarking tool, has officially launched, according to Primate Labs. Geekbench 6 replaces the previous Geekbench 5, which was released in 2019.

It features findings that more closely resemble the performance of real-world devices as well as compatibility with new hardware standards.

As a result of machine learning and other workloads, the new software steers clear of large reliance on single-threaded CPU counts. To more accurately "represent modern hardware and applications," testing datasets have been updated.

– Larger images that current cellphones can shoot in higher resolution (12 to 48MP) – Examples of HTML that adhere to current web design standards – a bigger image library for import test

– more expansive maps for navigational tests – larger, more contemporary PDF samples – An expansion of the Clang workload.

According to Primate Labs, the tests are more similar to the workloads used by apps. They can better represent the file types that customers are anticipated to use or interact with within 2023.
