The OG App, an Instagram client that promised an ad-free and suggestion-free feed, was booted off the Play Store by Google almost a week after Apple removed it from the App Store.

Co-founders of Un1feed, the company that created The OG App, claimed on Twitter that after the app was taken down from both the iOS and Android app stores, the startup wouldn't be able to support its users

The app makers said in the brief period the app was live, it attracted more than 25,000 downloads.

Google didn't comment on the story. Un1feed introduced The OG App toward the end of last month to give users a customizable Instagram experience.
