Release Date Has Been Announced for the "Rosemary's Baby" 4K Blu-ray

Another successful year for horror on tangible media, 2023, was one to remember. There have been a lot of genre favorites that have made the terrifying transition to 4K, such as People Under the Stairs and the Chucky sequels.

 "Rosemary's Baby"

In the latter part of this year, further genre classics like "The Exorcist" and "My Bloody Valentine" will scream onto the format. Rosemary's Baby will debut as a haunted attraction at 4K in September, making it the newest addition to the roster of scary movies.

The information was shared on the Twitter feed for Dawn of the Disc. The sole information available to horror lovers is that Rosemary's Baby will be released in 4K at some point in the future.

However, it has yet to be discovered if this will be done by Paramount directly or as part of the legendary Criterion Collection. The latter company distributed the movie on Blu-ray in 2012.

However, the format has been discontinued for quite some time. Given the stunning special edition release, it is reasonable to expect that Criterion will eventually provide a version of the film in 4K resolution.

The studio does show a lot of affection for the horror genre, as seen by the fact that they released Night of the Living Dead in 4K resolution the year before last and an undervalued modern gem like La Llorona on Blu-ray earlier this year.
