The Director Of 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' Reveals the Film's Main Villain

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse earned $375.5 million worldwide against a $90 million budget, garnering plaudits for its innovative animation style, plot, voice acting, and comedy.

Fans are excited to see what Miles Morales and the rest of the Spider-People get up to in Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse, which hits theaters next June and reunites Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) with Peter B.

Parker (voiced by Jake Johnson) and Gwen Stacey (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld), as well as meeting characters like Miguel O'Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac (voiced by Issa Rae).

With such a strong group of heroes, what could entangle their webs? One of the film's directors, Kemp Powers, told Total Film that The Spot (voiced by Jason Schwartzman) would be the major enemy.

The Spot is a comic book humor villain that is not taken as seriously as the Green Goblin or Doctor Octopus. "But when you look at his abilities, there's enormous potential," Powers adds.
