Glitches Cause Cancellation of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Raid

Recent articles

Nintendo has issued an apology and canceled the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Teracristal Raid event that was slated for this past weekend due to unexpected bugs that caused video games to crash. The raid was canceled only a few hours after its launch, leaving many fans disappointed.

According to Comicbook.com, the issue was caused by the materials for the Technical Machines (TM), which was supposed to release Pokémon Paradox Grandizanne and Solcoferro, two alternate versions of the event’s Donfan protagonists. These paradox Pokémon don’t usually release any drops when defeated or captured, and this caused the Teracristal Raid’s reward system to malfunction, often resulting in the message “none.”

The cancellation has left many fans wondering if the event will be rescheduled in the future. However, at the moment, there is no word from Nintendo regarding rescheduling the event.

Despite the disappointment, it’s worth noting that the bugs didn’t appear to affect the saved data of users who had already started raiding. Therefore, those players can be hopeful that they’ll be able to participate in reworked raids in the future.

Chesnot, the latest grass starter evolution from the Kalos region, appears to be unaffected by the bug. Therefore, players can still participate with Chesnot in the Teracristal Raid until the end of the weekend.

Despite the excitement around the event, it’s reassuring to see Nintendo prioritizing the stability of their game, ensuring that players’ experiences aren’t compromised. Although the cancellation marks a disappointment for fans and players, it’s better to have a stable gaming experience than experience bugs and glitches that can frustrate and dampen the experience.

At this point, we’ll have to wait and see what Nintendo has in store for future raids. In the meantime, players will have to explore other aspects of the game until updates are made to correct the issues that would allow them to have their Teracristal Raid event.
