The release date for Payday 3 seems to have slipped out ahead of schedule. The leak, originating from a credible source called Aggiornamenti Lumia, indicates that Payday 3 is anticipated to launch on September 21st, 2023.
The third installment of the Payday franchise, set in New York City, reintroduces the game’s original quartet of main characters.
The game’s description notes, “Return to the criminal underworld alongside the notorious Payday Gang, striking fear into law enforcement wherever they tread, pulling off one last job,” which mirrors the player’s experience. “Years after their infamous activities in Washington, DC drew to a close, they reunite to confront a new threat that pulls them out of retirement.”
With multiple gaming events scheduled for the upcoming week, an official announcement during one of these events wouldn’t come as a surprise. This matches Starbreeze Studios‘ commitment to unveiling a sneak peek of gameplay this summer, possibly coinciding with the Summer Games Fest on June 8.
Payday 3, built using the Unreal Engine and designed to be playable on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms, is presently in the developmental phase.
