Final Fantasy 14 PS5 open beta launches this week, giving Sony PlayStation fans a glimpse into the next-gen future of FF14. The Final Fantasy 14 PS5 Open Beta will be launched as part of the version 5.5 patch that will be released on Tuesday, April 13. Square Enix has confirmed the times when maintenance will take place in preparation for the Final Fantasy 14 update 5.5 rollout.

As disclosed in a message Online, All Worlds Maintenance will begin at 2am UK time on Tuesday, April 13, and will end at 11am.

For those in the US, Final Fantasy 14 Update 5.5 scheduled maintenance will begin Monday, April 12 at 6:00 PM Pacific Time and end at 3:00 AM PDT the following day.

Announcing the upcoming maintenance window, the Final Fantasy 14 website said, “In order to deploy Patch 5.5 and perform maintenance on the infrastructure, we will perform maintenance on all worlds at the following time, during which FINAL FANTASY XIV will not be available. to be.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.”

The release of Final Fantasy 14 update 5.5 also coincides with the release of PS5’s open beta for FFXIV.

This open beta is available to new and old players. If you’re all new to Final Fantasy 14, to try out the PS5 Open Beta, head over to PlayStation Store on your PS5 and then to the Final Fantasy XIV page.

In the FFIX PS Store list, click […] button then choose “FINAL FANTASY XIV Free Trial” to download a free trial version.

The team behind Final Fantasy 14 has said the PS5 version will benefit from greatly increased frame rates, true 4K resolution, 3D audio, and haptic feedback.

And in the run-up to the release of FF14 update 5.5 a blog post on the official PlayStation Blog outlined what fans can expect from the PS5 edition of FF14.

In the blog, Shoichi Matsuzawa, the Final Fantasy XIV Lead Project Manager said, “If you start FFXIV fresh, the free trial will also be available during the open beta on PS5 – you can play A Realm Reborn and the first expansion pack., Heavensward, up to level 60. Don’t worry – your character, progress and everything else will be carried over to the full version.

“The full version for PlayStation 5 will be available after the close of the open beta, so we would encourage new players entering the free trial to switch to the full product version.”

Early patch notes have also been revealed for Final Fantasy 14 update 5.5.
