N64 games with 60Hz and partly with PAL version option

Recent articles

As part of the September edition of Nintendo Direct, Nintendo has announced the expansion of its retro “Switch Online” offering to include Nintendo 64 and Sega Mega Drive titles. Rumors and fears soon arose because of the material on display: it could be the slow 50Hz versions of the games.

As usual, Nintendo did not want to respond to the media reports at the time, although they probably knew what they were announcing two weeks ago. And actually it turns out not to be as feared, but better than expected.

“All Nintendo 64 games” in the new membership can therefore be “played in English in 60Hz versions”. In addition, there will also be the option to play “selected games” in the original PAL version with language options. Nintendo gave it today known.

We also have to wait and see what the new membership will cost. But as it kicks off at the end of October, the wait will likely be manageable.
