Rumor has it that Nintendo will soon be lifting the lid on the Nintendo Switch Pro. The House of Mario is rumored to be unveiling the Switch Pro ahead of E3 – which kicks off on Saturday, June 12 – with an insider claiming a reveal could happen as early as today (Thurs. 3). And ahead of the official unveiling of the Nintendo Switch Pro, the console’s price could have been leaked early on.
The potential price leak was revealed by Twitter account @Nintendalerts, which claimed the Switch Pro price was uploaded to major French retailer Boulanger’s database.
And the rumored price for the Nintendo Switch Pro is €399.
Whether this European price is indeed right remains to be seen how this translates to other regions in the world.
By comparison, the Nintendo Switch costs £279.99 in the UK – a price that hasn’t changed since its launch more than four years ago.
In addition to Boulanger, offers for the Switch Pro have been spotted at other retailers, suggesting an announcement is imminent.
One entry was flagged by the @CentroLeaks Twitter account, and it was set to go live on Friday, June 4.
This date is curious as it would be a day after the rumors of Switch Pro unveiling this week.
It would make sense for product listings to go live not long after the Switch Pro is unveiled, so the timing of this listing is striking to say the least.
The possible Switch Pro reveal date of June 3 was mentioned earlier this week by Twitter user @Shpeshal_Nick.
At the start of the week, the XboxEra Podcast co-host, who has leaked accurate industry information in the past, said: “Right now I’ve been told that the Super Nintendo Switch (that’s what I fucking want the name to be) Direct/Mini Direct/Announcement is scheduled for Thursday, but it’s been pushed before, it could be again.”

The Switch Pro is rumored to be capable of 4K gaming in docked mode, powered by a more powerful NVIDIA graphics chip and equipped with an OLED display for much sharper visuals when gaming in portable mode.
It has also been claimed that the Switch Pro will launch with some exclusive games, a la the New Nintendo 3DS.
If true, this would be especially surprising given that the Switch (at last count) has sold nearly 85 million units.
That’s a lot of gamers who would have to upgrade to a Switch Pro to play these titles.
The Switch Pro is expected to be released as early as September this year.
