Bandai Namco confirms participation in the exhibition

As one of the first major Japanese publishers Bandai Namco today officially confirmed its entry into this year’s Gamescom. A glimmer of hope for fans of Japanese video games in the previously very manageable line-up of exhibitors.

Games like Klonoa: Phantasy Reverie Series or Digimon Survive will already have appeared when Gamescom is around the corner. With One Piece Odyssey, Doraemon: Story of Seasons – Friends of the Great Kingdom, Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival or Dragon Ball: The Breakers you have a few more irons in the fire.

Earlier this week, Ubisoft and THQ Nordic had already confirmed their participation after several major publishers such as Activision Blizzard and especially the console makers Sony and Nintendo canceled.

The participants who have been confirmed so far can be found here. Also Sega is one of them, but it hasn’t been publicly commented yet. Publishers such as Bethesda, Capcom, CD Projekt RED, Electronic Arts, Xbox and Square Enix are still open.
