Two unreleased Mac models were discovered in a Steam survey in November 2022. The survey asks willing Steam users anonymous questions about specific aspects of their computers, such as the model, CPU, memory, and other specifications.

Two unreleased Macs with the model numbers "Mac14,6" and "Mac15,4" were discovered near the bottom of the list in the survey for November 2022, along with model numbers for the Mac Studio, 13-inch M2 MacBook Pro, M2 MacBook Air, and other models.

On the Steam platform, "Mac14,6" and "Mac15,4" are listed with 0% usage. However, their inclusion on the list implies that Apple might be testing the unreleased Macs with upcoming Apple silicon chips on the Steam gaming platform.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time we've heard of a Mac with the model number "Mac14,6" that hasn't been announced.

Two separate (1,2) Geekbench score entries with the M2 Max chip, which is most likely to be the top processor in upcoming 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, have the same identifier.

Apple initially intended to release the updated MacBook Pro models this fall but decided to wait until 2023.
